PROJECT 01Hardware Security

Hardware FIDO2 security key for enterprise workforce authentication

A hardware authenticator designed for phishing-resistant enterprise authentication — combining a dedicated secure element, hardware cryptography, and a hardened firmware stack.

What Platanor built

  • FIDO2/CTAP2 authenticator firmware, including PIN protection with progressive lockout and PUK recovery
  • Secure element integration and Arm TrustZone isolation for keys and cryptographic operations
  • Secure boot chain and signed OTA firmware updates
  • Factory provisioning with a unique device certificate for every key
  • Companion application and backend services

PROJECT 02Fire Safety Systems

Networked I/O Controller for Fire & Life-Safety Automation

A DIN-rail I/O and dispatch controller for fire-alarm and life-safety automation networks — RS-485 networked, IEC 61131-3 programmable logic (ladder and function-block), and tiered password-protected access control.

What Platanor built

  • Controller firmware for fire-alarm and life-safety automation
  • RS-485 network protocol linking controllers for I/O and dispatch
  • IEC 61131-3 logic execution (ladder and function-block) on the controller
  • Tiered, password-protected access levels per EN 54
  • PC software for programming and configuring the controllers

Frequently Asked Questions

Have a question not answered here? Ask us directly.

Can I get more detail on a specific project?

Yes — reach out and we'll walk you through the technical approach on a call.

What kinds of products do you typically work on?

Devices where security matters — hardware security keys, industrial and safety-system controllers, and similar products. We build firmware for new devices in development and harden the firmware of products already on the market.
